How to expedite consideration of your resume and increase your chances of being hired at V-Zeal Oil and Coastal Services Limited:

  1. Tailor your resume to the requirements of the position you are seeking.
  2. Resumes in paper based format can be routed to hiring managers and our applicant tracking system more quickly than e-mail generated resumes. Therefore, we encourage you to mail your resumes to our Human Resources Department in Lagos, Nigeria. Upon receipt, you will receive an acknowledge response within 5-7 working days.
  3. If you send in a resume for one particular position, and learn of another position for which you would like to be considered, send in another resume for the new position.
What happens when your resume or response form is forwarded to V-Zeal Oil and Coastal Services Limited?

Resumes received in our office for a particular position will be reviewed immediately. In most cases, preliminary verification of an applicant's qualification and experience will be made well before an interview is scheduled. If we determine, based on our finding that the applicant qualifies for the position, they will be contacted, and an initial interview will be scheduled. Applicants will go through several intense interviews to further determine if they qualify for the position in which they are applying for before a decision is made to hire.
  1. The first interview will be conducted by our Human Resources Manager, who will be responsible for verifying the information rendered on the applicant's resume/application. This interview will generally take approximately two hours.
  2. The second interview will be conducted by our Director of Operations, and will encompass a recap of the first interview. At this juncture, a more detailed look at the applicant's background and experience will be examined. Applicants should expect to be in this interview approximately two hours. If the Director feels the applicant is qualified for the position in which they are applying for and meets our firm's requirements for employment, the Director will schedule a third interview. In most cases, if the applicant reaches this stage of the interview process, a decision to hire would have already been made.
The entire interview process can take up to eight weeks, but in most cases can be completed within three weeks, provided the information supplied by the applicant can be verified.

Appropriate resumes are always forwarded to hiring managers for their review. If there is interest, it is likely that someone will contact the candidate within 30 days of initial receipt of the applicant's resume. It is also possible that a recruiter could contact a candidate at a later date, perhaps after a new need arises or after conducting a key word search of resumes in our database applicant tracking system.
